Schoolteachers warn of protest if demands not met

LAHORE: The public schoolteachers on Thursday rejected the invitation of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, saying the invitation was nothing more but delaying tactics of the government.

Different groups of public schoolteachers also announced to hold protests rallies in different cities of Punjab against not fulfilling of their long-awaited demands.

All Assatza Alliance Punjab President Sufi Ramzan Inqlabi said that the invitation from Punjab chief minister was nothing more but delaying tactics and making fun of noble profession of teachers. He said the Punjab government was spending money on roads and bridges and was not interested in solving teachers’ problems.
