Zardari, Bilawal to contest by-polls on common symbol

Author: Staff Report

KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has decided that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto and co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari will contest by-elections on National Assembly seats on a common electoral symbol – ‘arrow’. An application for allotment of common electoral symbols will be submitted with the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) under the Political Parties Order 2002, said a statement on Thursday. The PPP media cell has denied a news item published in a section of media on Thursday claiming that Bilawal Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari will contest by-elections on different electoral symbols.
