Death anniversary of Aitzaz passes unnoticed

HANGU: The third death anniversary of a student Aitzaz Hassan passed unnoticed on Friday as no function was organized at the government or local level to remember the hero student. The family of the martyred student Aitzaz Hassan had also not arranged any function on the death anniversary of the hero student as a mark of protest against what they argued not honouring the commitments had made by the federal and provincial governments with the family of the martyred students. Aitzaz Hassan had sacrificed his life to save hundreds of other lives by preventing a suicide attack on his school in Hangu on January 6, 2014. Mujahid Ali Bangash, the father of the hero martyred student, said that his son laid down his life and saved the lives of other 400 students. He said that the federal and provincial government had made pledges with the family but none was honoured. He said that the government had announced to name the Government High School (Ibrahimzai) after Aitzaz but the decision could not be implemented even after the lapse of three years. “Not much people can give such a supreme sacrifice rendered by Aitzaz Hassan but it is very unfortunate that the rulers have forgotten this hero of the nation,” lamented Mujahid Bangash.
