The film is slated for release in June and the cast other than Meera and Ilyas, include Osman Khalid Butt, Ali Kazmi, musician-actor Mohsin Abbas Haider, Lollywood’s yesteryear star Nisho, and Nayyar Ejaz. Touted as Meera’s comeback film, ‘Baaji’ has been written by Irfan Ahmed Urfi and Malik, himself.
The film is said to be a social drama-cum-thriller set against the backdrop of a fading Lollywood and the emerging new order of the Pakistan film industry.
