Kamran Michael cries political victimisation in SHC

Author: News Desk

Former minister for ports and shipping, Kamran Michael, on Tuesday, challenged his arrest over alleged misuse of authority in the Sindh High Court (SHC). He was earlier accused by the National Accountability Bureau for illegally allotting three commercial and residential apartment plots, pristinely located in KPT Cooperative Housing Society in Karachi to his favourites in exchange of alleged bribery. In his plea, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader stated, “I was not named in the inquiry and neither in the reference of KPT land allotment scam.” The former minister termed his arrest as alleged political victimisation. In the meantime, the SHC has directed NAB to submit a detailed report into the case till March 19.
