Multan raids lead to 34 arrests, 19 on wanted list

MULTAN: Police arrested 34 suspects and recovered a large cache of liquors and drugs while conducting raids on different areas of the city on Sunday.

The police carried out different search operations within the Multan area and rounded up 34 people suspected of being involved in illegal activities.

Officials said that of the 34 arrested, 19 were wanted for various crimes while four among them were on the list of most wanted persons.

The officials added that they had discovered and confiscated a huge cache of liquors and drugs from some of the suspects’ possession. In addition they seized weapons from four of the detainees.

Meanwhile, the police also impounded 130 motorcycles during a crackdown against non-registered vehicles in various areas of the city.
