ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has completed probe into Rs 800 million fraud by a US-based Pakistani doctor.
NAB sources confirmed that they had received complaints from the Pakistani doctors against Quaid-e-Azam International Hospital and Global Health Services owner Doctor Shaukat Ali Bangash. They added that Bangash took Rs 800 million from Pakistani doctors and promised them that he would make them shareholders or return the money but he neither returned the money nor made them shareholders. Rawalpindi NAB had completed inquiry against Bangash.
During the inquiry, NAB received a letter from Pakistani Ambassador in the US Jalil Abbas Jilani in which he demanded action against Bangash, sources said.
Now NAB has confirmed that Bangash swindled people, especially Pakistani doctors in the US. NAB has asked the affected people and doctors to submit their claims within 15 days.
