KARACHI: Police has arrested a unique type of cheater who was selling stray dogs by coloring them as famous species of imported dogs. According to the SP Gulberg Bashir Barohi the suspect was arrested from North Nazimabad Town
Suspect was identified as Sageer who sold some dogs to a citizen namely Riaz-uddin at 50,000 each by online selling portal “OLX” after giving them a new looks through art of painting.
“We have recovered four more such stray dogs that were being colored and were ready to deliver to the purchasing party” Barohi further informed . According to the police a FIR has been registered against the accused under section 420 and further investigation has been started.
Bashir Barohi said that the complainant Riazuddin had registered a writen report to police that he had purchased the dogs through an on line website but when he gave bath to them their color got changed, they were acutely stray dogs.
“It was some how very difficult for the police to trace down the culprits because he used internet for his crime and went traceless after taking money from Riazuddin but during further investigation the police collected information about where he uploaded the picture of dogs on OLX to sell them and then the police itself uploaded a demand for the dogs for purchasing”.
The accused once again demanded 50 thousands for each dog and came to deliver them where he was arrested by police. SP further informed.
It is permanent to mention that OLX was being used for cyber crimes in Pakistan very frequently that why LAE s have managed to established a system of collecting IPs record of pages from the management.
