With makeup tutorials flooding our newsfeed, there is more awareness on how to use a makeup brush and how to play with colors on your face. There are no boundaries on Social Media on how avant-garde a makeup look should be, but there are certain parameters to follow when you are offline, unless you like things super dramatic. There are rules around each makeup product, depending on the time of day you apply it. There is day makeup and night makeup too. Let’s look into some handy makeup tips for ladies that are a little overwhelmed with too many makeup trends and want to catch up the pace.

Pore-less Prime

The first and foremost, unspoken rule about an amazing makeup look is to have a great looking skin. A good skin requires time and care, along with the habit of consuming a lot of water which helps the skin be more hydrated and fresh. Starting off with a clean canvas, we prime out the pores to take away any show of texture on the skin. Primers are such an important part of the pre-makeup process. It helps fill out pores, preparing the skin for foundation.

Foundation

There are kinds of foundations you can work with. From sheer, light wear foundations to full-on coverage foundations. It is totally up to you, how you want to cover up. There is a wide range of BB & CC creams that conceal necessary amount of blemishes, but for more coverage you can choose a foundation that conceals better, also depending on your skin type (Oily, Dry or Combination skin).

Correct & Conceal it!

Concealers come in 4 colors mainly. There is one that matches your skin color, but there are more colors to conceal any acne marks or even dark circles before and after foundation application.

• Skin Color: To conceal light blemishes and light under eye circles.
• Purple: To correct old bruises and age spots or even to eliminate yellow undertones on skin.
• Green: To cover all the redness or red spots on your skin.
• Orange: This is the best corrector for dark circles or dark patches on your skin.

Bronze & Contour:

For a sun kissed, tan effect, go for a bronzer. To sculpt the cheek bones and sharpen your nose and jaw line, we use a contour. It is okay to skip this step for a day look or just use a little product for a softer look during the day time.

Highlighter:

Anyone with a great skin can rock a sheer foundation with a dab of highlighter here and there. This is also an amazing addition to the makeup routine that all ladies look forward to. That instant shine and glow added to all the high points on your face, instantly brings you the feeling of goddess! Adding highlighter to the textured (wrinkles or acne) part of your skin can highlight the problem area. It is best for the high points on your face that have no texture. Excess amount of highlighter only looks good in magazines. A decent amount of highlighter is all your need to complete a flawless makeup look.
