It was a stunning performance, so magical that plenty of viewers were ‘shipping Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, rooting for them to be a thing. ‘Shipping them hard. The enthusiasm was evident on Twitter and in group chats among friends. A Slate writer even gave them a couple name: Ladley Gooper.
Ladley Gooper fever hit such a pitch that one website did a deep-dive on their friendship and mused: “Did Lady Gaga’s Breakup Have Anything to Do With Bradley Cooper?” Answer: Fans think so.
But some people weren’t cheering, spice girl member Mel B being one of them.
The singer said on “Good Morning Britain” on Monday that she felt “very uncomfortable” for Cooper’s girlfriend, Irina Shayk, who was sitting in the front row during the “A Star Is Born” co-stars’ intense performance, Us Magazine reported.
“I felt so uncomfortable for Bradley’s girlfriend, oh my gosh,” Mel B said on Monday. “I would like to think it was part of the whole performance, because there’s a women’s code and hopefully that’s not…hopefully, it’s only professional.”
Morning show host Piers Morgan agreed with the singer, adding that Cooper and Gaga shared a “look of love.”
