KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London (MQM-L) would organise Istehkam-e-Pakistan rally under the guise of the Pakistan Qaumi Movement (PQM) on January 21, Daily Times learnt on Monday. The MQM-L had announced to hold the rally in a statement last week. The MQM-L knows that it will not get permission, a source said. In an application to the Central deputy commissioner the PQM sought permission to hold the rally.
The letter added that unity was need of the hour as Pakistan was facing serious internal and external threats. “The reasons for organising the rally is to support armed forces as the situation on Line of Control is very distressful fueled by Indian government. On other side, country’s internal situation facing terrorism from armed groups. Armed forces at every stage are dealing with the situations to eradicate the menace of terrorism from the country. Entire nation stood with our armed forces,” the PQM letter concluded.
