RAWALPINDI: A corps commanders’ conference on Tuesday expressed satisfaction on Operation Zarb-e-Azb’s progress and lauded its positive effects on internal security.
According to an ISPR press release, the meeting was chaired by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa and it reviewed the security environment and operational preparedness of the Army in detail.
He also directed the army to increase efforts for the return of Temporarily Displaced Persons (TDPs). The forum reiterated Pakistan Army’s resolve to be prepared to respond to all types of threat. General Bajwa hailed the efforts of strategic organisations on successful test fire of Babur-3 missile.
“Pakistan Army would continue to support all state institutions that work for national security,” the COAS said.
The meeting also appreciated performance of Military Courts during the prescribed duration which resulted in reduction of terrorism.
