Former warden confesses killing 15 people

KARACHI: According to the police on Tuesday, a former city warden has confessed killing 15 people.

According to the investigation report, the former public servant Muhammad Azad – s/o Azeemuddin – belonged to a political party and headed at least two militant units, comprising around 32 target killers.

Azad confessed involvement in a number of crimes including executing arson, demanding extortion from traders and forcing them to close shops on his party’s behest, other than killing 15 people.

Police also claimed to have recovered a Kalashnikov, a pistol and a snatched motorcycle from Azad’s custody.
