Pakistan once again impose ban on JuD and LeT

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan re-imposed a ban on the Jamaatud Dawa (JuD), formed by Hafiz Saaed. Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), and its charity arm, the Falah-i-Insaniyat Foundation also get banned in the meeting. The decision was taken at a meeting of the National Securtiy Committee, Chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The National Security Committee discuss the geo-strategic and national security environment after Pulwama attckas. Pak-India ties were also discussed in the meeting.

Jamaatud Dawa (JuD) and Lashkar-e-Taibaan (LET) were banned by an ordinance promulgated by then President Mamnoon Hussein in February last year to amend the Anti-Terrorism Act.
