Sir: In my opinion, out government should restore its subsidy for the only pilgrims who are going to apply for the first time and their age bracket is 50 plus. Because the people who are applying uptil the age of 50 for the first time show that they had no financial capacity to apply earlier. Secondly the people are at the age bracket of 80 years and still deprived to perform Hajj. They may be awarded subsidy. Government should restore subsidy under some categories and conditions as mentioned above. The person who is going 2nd or 3rd time, not be awarded subsidy.
Hajj Ministry should convince the masses through media to perform Umrah and Hajj at young age. As we observe that people from Malaysia and other Muslim countries prefer to perform Hajj and Umrah soon after their marriages.
When government has dropped subsidy on Hajj, there was a yell of hue and cry in the media but on the other hand we love to waste money on different customs. Hence I suggest to our government should restore subsidy under some categories based on solid grounds.
