Two bandits escape police station’s lockup

KARACHI: Two notorious dacoits escaped have from the Sharifabad Police Station’s lockup in the city on Tuesday. They were involved in around a dozen cases of theft, dacoity and robbery, police sources have said.

Taking notice of bandits’s escape, two police officers of the Special Investigation Unit (SIU), Jameel Sidiqui and Nazar Abbas were suspended for negligence and cases were also registered against them.

The Police have further informed that the two criminals fled during last night. It is also being probed that if the criminals had bribed the police for escaping.
