An anti-electronic crime court, on Monday, decided to delay the proceedings in a case related to usage of inappropriate language in an interview over a web TV by the former Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Senator Faisal Raza Abidi against a former Chief Justice till February 25. According to information available to media sources, Judge Tahir Mehmood deferred the indictment proceedings as one of the co-accused Hans Masroor failed to show up before the court today. Senator Abidi was present before the court. It may be pertinent to mention here that Islamabad High Court (IHC) had approved Abidi’s bail plea on December 20, last year, after the examination of his medical report. While he was granted bail in two counts of contempt of court, the firebrand leader was also instructed to submit an Rs100, 000 surety bond.
