Imran Khan had made a ‘special’ request to Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman on Sunday for the release of 3,000 Pakistani prisoners languishing in Saudi Jails. PM Imran Khan had also requested MBS to treat Pakistanis as their own people.
“There are some 3,000 [Pakistani] prisoners there and we just would like you to bear in mind that they are poor people who have left their families behind,” Khan had said.
Information minister Fawad Chaudhry informed today that MBS has ordered the release of over 2,000 Pakistani prisoners.
