Soon after his arrival, Nawaz expressed discomfort over the facilities being provided at the VVIP block of the hospital. After rejecting two rooms over lack of facilities, the former prime minister finally liked a room and demanded to place a TV in it, a private TV channel reported. Following his wish, the hospital administration removed an LED installed in the office of the medical superintendent (MS) and installed it in the PML-N leader’s room.
Foolproof security measures have been taken to ensure Nawaz’s safe stay in the hospital. Various medical tests of the former prime minister will be carried at the hospital.
Meanwhile, Nawaz’s personal physician Dr Adnan expressed displeasure over the government’s decision to shift the former prime minister to Jinnah Hospital. “We are not satisfied that he has been brought to Jinnah Hospital,” he said. “Nawaz needs to be admitted to a cardio unit for 24 hours,” he said. “I will comment further after speaking to the medical superintendent and the principal,” he added.
