In a joint statement issued on Friday, Pakistan Muslim League President and former prime minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Parvez Elahi addressed asset allegations against themselves floating on television channels and newspapers. They suggested that the National Accountability Bureau Chairman and his three-member team should personally visit Paris to check whether they held any property there. The two political heavyweights even offered to pay for their first-class airfare while calling on the people of Gujrat to arrange their accommodation and transportation. We may even hand over the entire property to him in a plea bargain so that he can meet his deficit,” they remarked.
