During the last three days, the PHC enforcement teams had visited 343 treatment centres in eight cities, including Lahore, where 115 centres were checked. They had sealed 49 quackery outlets out of the visited centre besides 60 quacks’ shops were found to have been converted into other businesses.
As per details of the closed down centres, six each were in Jaranawala and Samundari (Faisalabad), Gujranwala and Sahiwal, Sargodha 5, Mandi Bahauddin 4, three each in Rawalpindi and Kasur. In Lahore, the sealed outlets included Ikram Dental Clinic, Usman Homoeo Clinic, Al-Madina Dawakhana and Unani Shifakhana Jarahi, Al-Shifa Clinic, New Lasani Medical Store, Hanif Clinic, Bismillah Medical Store, Ideal Dental Surgery, Sajjad Hadi Jorr, Qasim Shamas Dental Clinic, Baba Hadi Jorr, Bhai Jan Dental Clinic, Jehangir Clinic and Sheraz Dental Clinic.
