Sir: It is good to hear that beginning of offshore drilling has found huge oil and gas reserves in Ultra deep waters of Pakistan. Surprisingly, drilling is being done in block ‘Indus-G’ which is located around 280 kilometers away from Karachi coast. According to some experts, block ‘Indus-G’ is similar to Indian offshore ‘Bombay High Oil Fields’, which produces 350,000 barrels oil per day. Moreover, some experts are hopeful that ‘Indus-G’ is going to be similar in producing crude oil to wells in renowned petroleum exporting country Kuwait.
