The internationally recognised Pakistani pop rock band Strings is celebrating 30 years of their success. Strings has given us some soft rock and pop songs, in addition to their tranquil melodies in the last three decades. Now they are rejoicing their 30 years of togetherness with the album ’30’. “Naina” by Strings is the seventh out of the eight tracks from this album which has made it to the top of the charts and smashed the records. Album ’30’ is the sixth album of Strings.

“Naina” is actually the remake of an old song by the name of “Ghar Naari Ganwaari”. It is a Sufi song, originally written by the legendary Amir Khusrow and sung by Qawwal Bachchon Ka Gharaanah.

This remake is a duet by Faisal Kapadia of Strings and Sona Mohapatra while Bilal Maqsood is providing the soft guitar riffs. Additional, its lyrics were written by the iconic Anwar Maqsood. The music video of the song is directed by Sohail Javed. “Naina” was originally a qawwali but it is the aptitude of this band to convert it into this soothing melody without ruining the beauty of its poetry. Shot in Turkey, this song is a complete package, giving you the mesmerising vibe every time you hear it.

The mellifluous voices of Faisal Kapadia and Mohapatra, in addition to the eloquent lyrics and enticing background, this song is a bundle of equanimity and very tempting for its listeners.
