DC forms committee, seeks report within 48 hours

LAHORE: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Captain (r) Muhammad Usman has constituted a committee on the tragic incident of fire that erupted in a construction company’s building near Mehmood Botti Interchange and sought a report within 48 hours. The committee will submit the report after compiling all facts, including the reason behind the fire incident, fire safety measures and details of the victims, including the injured men. The DC said that the committee consisted of Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Asfandyar Baloch, the Shalimar assistant commission, the civil defence district officer, officials of the Lahore Development Authority and Rescue 1122, and a member of the Wagah Zone. The committee members will work under the supervision of Additional DC Asfandyar Baloch. He also directed the hospital administration of Kot Khawaja Saeed to provide best medical facilities to the injured persons.
