PESHAWAR: The heirs of martyred children in the Army Public School (APS) carnage, on Wednesday asked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and President of Pakistan, Mamnoon Hussain to extend the tenure of military courts in the country otherwise they would march towards the Parliament House in Islamabad for acceptance of their demands. Speaking at a news conference at the Peshawar Press Club, the mothers of martyred Asfand Khan, Mobeen Shah Afridi, Sadia Gul teacher and others announced they would not stop raising their voice for justice until and unless the alleged militants of the APS massacre were not given exemplary punishment. The actual perpetrators of the attack on the children in APS should be hanged along with their facilitators, they demanded. The military courts were established across the country after the APS carnage and the courts gave fruitful results in the last few years, they argued adding that at least 80 per cent terror-related incidents had come down in the country. “The APS massacre has brought the political parties on the same page and they agreed on the formation of military courts for eradication of militancy and extremism in the country,” they added. Lambasting the political leaders for sending their children abroad to get education, aggrieved mothers said they would not let politicians do politics in name of their children.
