HYDERABAD: The All Pakistan Wapda Workers Union (APWWU) has accused the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (Hesco) of ‘pressurizing’ meter readers for manipulation of meter reading. This was alleged by APWWU provincial general secretary Iqbal Qaimkhani and other leaders including Azam Khan, Malik Sultan and Hanif Khan while talking to media on Friday. They alleged that if a meter reader does not obey illegal orders of the Hesco authorities then he is punished by removing him from service or transferring to a far flung area.
