HYDERABAD: The District and Session Court here Friday accepted the bail plea of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London’s leader Momin Khan Momin.
According to the details, the 5th Additional District and Session Judge accepted the bail application against a surety of Rs 50,000. The MQM-London’s leader Momin and the party’s alleged supporters Intikhab Alam Qureshi, Tasneem Alam Qureshi, Raheel Alam Qureshi and Imran Ghauri were arrested on October 22 by the Hali Road police.
The police lodged an FIR and charged them with possessing explosive material and weapons. The Anti Terrorism Court earlier remanded them to the jail custody on October 24 and since then they remained imprisoned in the Central Jail Hyderabad.
The ATC later transferred the case to the district court for the hearing. During the hearing advocate Shakil Zai, representing Momin, requested the judge to consider the bail plea while informing the court that his client remained in jail for over 2 months.
