ISLAMABAD: Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) President Sardar Masood Ahmad Khan has requested the United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to engage in the Kashmir dispute.

According to sources, he urged the UN Human Rights Commission to send a mission team to occupied Kashmir to probe the gross human rights violations in the area.

He requested India to stop the use of pellet guns and barbarity against the poor civilians. He also pleaded with India to withdraw its troops from occupied territory.

The AJK president stated that the freedom movement in Kashmir should not be linked with terrorism as it is an inherent part of their nature.
