LAHORE: Major general Izhar Naweed Hayat Khan was handed command of the Punjab Rangers force on Saturday in a ceremony held at the headquarters of the force.
Departing Director General (DG) Umar Farooq Burki presented the new DG with the ceremonial staff, representing the change in office.
After the handing over ceremony, the departing DG lauded the abilities of his men. Congratulating officers and members of the Punjab rangers he said that the rangers had put a lot of effort into achieving their aims and objectives, calling them an unparalleled force.
Sector commanders and other senior officers of the rangers were also present on the occasion.
