The sadness of the shadows

Author: Adnan Maqsood

Said to heart, go and see it,

At the back of the door someone’s shadow is present,

Which is crying with much anger,

It is alone,

Said to heart, go and see it,

It is their life,

Sadness of shadows,

I saw beliefs for whom,

Who can feel this pain,

Who is for these shadows,

A colour is taken by a hidden picture,

Said to heart, go see it,

Back of door someone’s shadow is present,

Which is crying with much anger,

It is alone,

The heart has answered me,

That shadows lives are like so,

Their sadness can’t lessen by realisation,

By thinking, their pains cannot finish

This was a Balochi poem originally written by Sajid Noor
