‘Kashmir echoes with slogans of freedom, go back India’

ISLAMABAD: Azad Jammu Kashmir President Masood Khan on Saturday said only one slogan, Freedom, Go Back India, is echoing in Kashmir.

Addressing the roundtable conference, Khan said India is sponsoring terrorism in Kashmir.

“India is indulged in terrorism in Kashmir but Kashmiri people will continue their freedom struggle unless Kashmir conundrum is sorted out,” he said. “Our freedom movement is not terrorism in any way,” he said.

“India is on the other hand involved in terrorism therein,” he said. He held that there were three parties to the Kashmir issue. The Kashmiris are an essential party to this dispute, he added.

“We demand of UN that India brings to cessation human rights violation in occupied Kashmir. The 7000000 Indian troops be pulled out from Indian-held Kashmir.

The ban imposed on political gatherings be lifted and political prisoners be set free forthwith. Establishment of settlements of non Kashmiris Pundits in Indian-held Kashmir be avoided.

The use of pellet gun against innocent children, students, girls, youths and women be stopped. Those who have been injured during pellet gun attacks be allowed to undergo treatment,” he underlined.

He remarked, “Kashmir is not integral part of India. Kashmir issue be resolved as per will of people of Kashmir. We will continue our struggle till such time freedom is given to us.”

He called upon the UN to take notice of war crimes being committed by Indian forces and form a commission in to review the facts. He urged the Kashmiris to focus on media.

“India is selling its lie in the world. We need to work on this front.”

He went on to say both India and Pakistan are nuclear powers and the two countries cannot afford war. Kashmir issue will not be resolved through war. Its solution can be found through dialogue on the basis of principle of equality. Pakistan accepts the UN Security Council resolutions.
