PPP ready for ‘long march’ to protect 18th Amend: Bilawal

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Tuesday warned that his party would not desist from holding a long march to thwart any attempts at rolling back the 18th Amendment. Speaking to media after inaugurating a medical college in Gambat, Bilawal said his party will appeal against the apex court decision on 18th Amendment. “Will not let them snatch away hospitals from Sindh,” he asserted. “In Naya Pakistan, I challenge Prime Minister Imran Khan to build a medical college similar to the one inaugurated by me right now,” Bilawal said during his address to the gathering. “In the last budget, people such as Imran Khan’s sister received relief but none was given to the poor,” he said. Bilawal said the way Imran Khan is running the parliament is counter-productive for the country. He said Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had dismissed Imran’s father on the basis of corruption. “Bhutto was the first elected prime minister and he was the one who introduced the concept of one individual, one vote,” he said. Bilawal also visited various departments of the Gambat Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) and inquired after the under-treatment patients. Sindh chief minister Murad Ali Shah, provincial minister Suhail Anwer Sial, Manzoor Hussain Wasan, Nafeesa Shah, Javed Ali Shah, Gazala Sial and other PPP workers, notables of area and senior officials were present on the occasion.
