KARACHI: Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) Chairman Mustafa Kamal on Saturday said that his party was a ray of hope for the suppressed segment of society.

“The PSP is giving a message of hope and has started working against the division of the nation on the bases of colour, caste and language. The PSP is against all those elements who were involved in self-centered politics of hatred in the city,” he said while addressing party workers after participating in a flag hoisting ceremony in the proximity of Kati Pahari and Qasba Colony.

Speaking on the occasion, Kamal said that the PSP became a party to spread the message of affection across the country. “People are united under the flag of the PSP, as we are against the politics of hatred.”

“We believe in mutual respect, authority and justice for all, which are the bases of our party’s constitution. The PSP wants to represent every segment of our society,” he added.

He said that the area of Kati Pahari was earlier associated with linguistic dispute between two communities, claimed precious lives of innocent people.

“By hoisting Pakistan’s flag at Kati Pahari, we have proved that everyone is united under the national flag,” he added.

The PSP started fuelling its activities in the city for its January 29 rally and public gathering. In this regard, the party has been mobilising its workers and organising corner meetings.

The party’s first corner meeting was held at Kati Pahari and Qasba Colony to mobilise public for its mega event.

“We are uniting all segments of society – whether they belong to the Pushto, Punjabi, Sindhi or Baloch backgrounds,” he added.
