Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Al-Hamdallah resigns

RAMALLAH: Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Al-Hamdallah on Tuesday has submitted his resignation to President Mahmoud Abbas

The Palestinian PM Rami AL-Hamdallah after a cabinet meeting announced that he has submitted his resignation to the President Mahmoud Abbas and the government will continue its working until the formation of new one.

However, it is not clear whether Mahmoud Abbas accepted the resignation of PM Rami Al-Hamdallah.

President Abbas has been facing pressure from Fatah Faction to replace the government with a new one consisting of PLO factions and independent members.

However, a Hamas official denounced the move as an attempt to underestimate and rule out the group from Palestinian politics.
