GUJRAT: Four suspects that were accused of gang raping two women were killed in police encounter in Gujrat.
Female health workers posted at Basic Health Unit (BHU) in Bheelwal, a village near Gujrat.
According to sources, these men took Rs 8,000 and other valuables. The robbery incident was kept hidden until the women victims approached Gujrat District Police Officer Sohail Zafar Chatha. There was a third lady who was kept locked by the men in a room.
District council informed that the BHU staff will be given more incentives and their salaries will be raised. The police reported that the gang members were arrested last week. However, as they tried to escape from police custody, they were killed in an encounter.
