ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam Nawaz is set to appear before Joint Investigation Team (JIT) which is investigating offshore assets of Sharif family in Panama Papers case on Wednesday.

The Federal Capital has stationed rigorous security measures to avoid any mishap during Maryam’s appearance before the JIT. More than 3000 security officials will be deployed and no unauthorized person will be allowed to enter within one kilometre radius of the Federal Judicial Academy premises.

PM’s daughter will be accompanied by Superintendent of Police (SP) Ursala Saleem during her appearance before the JIT, on request of the investigation committee to deploy a female cop for Maryam’s security. National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman Qamaruz Zaman Chaudhry is also expected to appear before the JIT later today.

Earlier this week, both of the PM’s sons, Hassan and Hussain Nawaz appeared before the investigation team respectively. JIT will present its final investigational report to the Supreme Court (SC) on July 10.
