JAMRUD: The Khasaddar Force personnel recovered 67 kilograms of drugs and arrested two smugglers at the Bagyari check point in Jamrud tehsil, official sources said on Sunday.
The sources said that Khasaddar personnel stopped a vehicle at the Bagyari check point in Jamrud tehsil and recovered 67 kilograms of hashish and opium from the secret cavities of the vehicle.
The drug was being smuggled to Peshawar from Khyber Agency. Two alleged drug smugglers identified as Shakeel and Saraj were arrested. The accused were sent to the Jamrud lock-up for investigation.
16 FC personnel injured in accident: As many as 16 Frontier Corps (FC) personnel were injured in a road accident and hospitalized here on Sunday. Police said that a truck of FC got out of control of driver due to over speeding an hit a tree by roadside at Cantt Morr in Mansehra. At least 16 FC personnel were injured in the accident who were shifted to the hospital for treatment. According to medics, their condition was stable.
