MUMBAI: Bollywood actor ShahidKapoor won the Critics Award for the best actor at the Filmfare for his role in ‘Udta Punjab.
ShahidKapoor posted a picture of his wife Mira holding the Filmfare black lady trophy on Instagram. He expressed his love for both the ladies by captioning the picture as “Came with one stunning lady and heading home with two. Thank you #filmfare. #udtapunjab congratulations @aliaabhatt and @diljitdosanjh”.
He portrayed the role of Tommy Singh in ‘Udta Punjab’ which he claimed to be the craziest character he had ever played. He also added that the craziest character he had ever seen on screen was Joker from the Dark Knight.
Shahid’s wife who was present there to support him stated that she was very much excited to be a part of the event and hoped that Shahid would win and look, he definitely won.
Shahid expressed his love for his wife and joy for winning the award by further adding that he was the happiest man because he was there with his wife and at the same time he had won.
Prior to the release of the movie ‘Udta Punjab’ had faced several hurdles so it was a big day for the cast of ‘Udta Punjab’ as it bagged three awards at the FilmFare.
