Third anniversary of Bacha Khan University terror attack marked

A vigil was held by the students of Bacha Khan University on Sunday to mark the third anniversary of the terror raid at the varsity. At least 21 people were killed and 22 injured after four Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan terrorists opened fire inside the university on January 20, 2016. All four attackers, aged between 18 to 22 years, were killed in the ensuing operation. A vigil was held outside the university gate because the students were not allowed to hold it inside. They read the Holy Quran and prayed for the martyrs. The police officers, who were performing their duties, also read the Holy Quran with the students. Some wounds of the tragedy have still not healed as Samiullah, former student and the only person to survive from his room, is still under treatment at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. His injuries were so severe that more than a year after the attack, he would still get constant headaches and could not speak for more than two minutes without getting tired.
