Mines & Minerals minister resigns citing pressure at work

Mines & Minerals Minister Ammar Yasir, who belongs from Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) resigned on Friday citing pressure at work.

In his resignation, the minister said that undue pressure and hurdles were put in his work due to which he can no longer perform his duties. Ammar Yasir said that he took up the job to serve the country and nation, adding that he cannot work under undue pressure. After the 2018 General Elections, the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf has formed a joint government with PML-Q and brought former provincial chief minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi as the speaker of the Punjab Assembly.
