Stop cutting trees

Author: Daily Times

Sir: Trees and plants are a source healthy life on this planet earth as it is a single source of oxygen generation. Apart from that, healthy environment is based upon greenery we have around. Ironically, trees are reducing in Pakistan and tree plantation is still looking in books and documents.

Only KP government was looked sincere in its previous tenure. Reduction in trees is lack of planning and negligence of political leadership. People are reducing tree as tree are the only source of energy in the absence of gas and kerosene oil for those belongs to far-flung areas. With the rapid growth in population, trees are also vanishing rapidly. Unfortunately forests are being destroyed and neglected.

My request to our government to provide rural people alternative source to avoid cutting of trees and educate them to plant more trees for their next generation.
