In our developing world, numerous developments have been made on our planet and beyond. However, along with the evolution of technology, various negative factors like racial crime, gun violence, gender discrimination, have taken a toll on the rise too. The basic principles of the aforementioned factors will be discussed in detail.
A child’s personality acts like a sponge until the teenage years. Every positive and negative attitude will be adopted by the child in one or another; although the effects of that attitude are not necessarily shown immediately. The attitudes can be learnt through a child’s role model (parents, guardian), media and peers. Hence, strict attention must be given to the child at all costs to ensure a good personality development.
However, in certain cases, a child is unable to receive a proper guidance in their early years. Financial crises, dysfunctional families, neglect are only a few of the many cases that can alter a child’s personality. An example of neglect can be given of an American feral child, Susan Wiley. Genie is the pseudonym for Susan, who was a victim of severe abuse, neglect, and social isolation. She was locked up in a room till the age of thirteen. It was discovered that the child lacked the ability to speak any language, since none was taught to her. She could not walk properly, either. Her circumstances are prominently recorded in the annals of linguistics and abnormal child psychology.
So, for a child, it needs proper attention and guidance
