Author: Staff Report

Singer, song-writer and music director Qurram Hussain will be helming an album for an English film, ‘Stealing Vows’, based on South Asian characters working in the wedding industry. The film’s script has been written by Bobby Singh Brown and Ali Hassan, who are both seasoned writers from Canada and stars Ali Hassan, Gabe Grey, Vas Saranga and Gia Sandhu in lead roles. Qurram aka Q, the brain and voice behind the music of four award-winning albums of JoSHTheBand and the weeding song Desan Da Raja (Suhni Kuri) , is going to be doing all the songs and the score of the film. Talking to the media, Qurram said that ‘Stealing Vows’ was a very smart and witty film, which attracted him to the project to begin with. “Since the movie is based on the wedding industry, each wedding will require a wedding song, and there are a few different styles that match the requirement for each wedding, so it’s a lot of fun to try to think outside the box and figure out fresh and new ideas musically,” he added. Stealing Vows is set to start filming in April.
