CDA issues notice to private TV channel over ‘encroachment’

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Friday issued a notice to a prominent TV channel Geo News, directing it to remove barricades from outside its office in Blue area within seven days.

The CDA Building Control Wing issued the notice to Geo News administration. An official of the civic agency said that a massive anti-encroachment drive was going in the capital against encroaches and land grabbers to retrieve the government land as well public space. He added that the civic agency had issued a notice to Geo News, asking it to remove all barricades from office’s premises and the surroundings within 7 days or else the capital body will remove it forcefully after the expiry of deadline.
