COAS meets with UAE ambassador, discuss Pak-UAE cooperation

RAWALPINDI: United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ambassador to Pakistan Essa Abdullah Albasha Alnoaimi met with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at General Headquarters on Wednesday.

According to Inter Services Public Relations Director General Major General Asif Ghafoor, the COAS gave his condolences to the ambassador over the loss of the UAE diplomats in the recent Kandahar blasts. The COAS appreciated the ambassador’s role in enhancing Pak-UAE cooperation in different fields. He also thanked the diplomat for his country’s contributions towards development projects initiated in FATA and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Alnoaimi acknowledged and appreciated the Pakistan army’s role in the fight against terrorism and militancy and expressed his country’s desire to continue working together for peace and prosperity in the region.
