Two sisters burnt alive, siblings injured in fire incident

LAHORE: Two sisters died while two of their infant siblings sustained critical burns on Wednesday after a fire broke out in a house at Sawami Nagar, Goray Shah.

Police said that the unfortunate children were alone when the fire broke out.

As a result, two sisters received serious burn injuries and died on the spot while their two siblings, aged 15 months and 35 days, also received burn injuries and were shifted to the Mayo Hospital.

Doctors stated that the infants were critically injured and more then half their bodies were subjected to intense heat.

The cause of the fire is reported to be a gas heater.

Four fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and controlled the blaze after lots of effort.
