PESHAWAR: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) have initiated the process of making Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) for the citizens in Khwezai tehsil of Mohmand Agency situated near the Pak-Afghan border through mobile teams.
The mobile team with the cooperation of the political administration has registered over a hundred people, including women, and CNICs will be issued to them soon.
The administration said the mobile team will continue its work in Khwezai tehsil till the end of this month.
The local people have appreciated NADRA for setting up mobile teams. They said they were facing difficulties in reaching NADRA offices in far situated areas and they were also having trouble standing in long queues for several days to obtain CNICs, but now their difficulties have come to an end.
A local said while appreciating the role of NADRA, “It was very difficult for us to travel to NADRA offices for obtaining CNICS and the process was too troublesome, but now that people would get the CINCs at doorsteps will not only decrease the trouble but will promote soft face of government in the tribal areas”.
Another local said, “We have finally got rid of travelling to Ghallanai for queries about our CNICs. Taking our women there was even more difficult and cumbersome”.
