Aimfit — dance away your fat woes this winter

Getting yourself into a fitness routine is a daunting process, where most of us do not want to be dragging ourselves on the treadmill after or before a long a day ahead.

People who have a lazy bone like myself would always consider fitness routine as a dull experience. One need to have that passion and energy to follow a certain routine. Fitness routine can be made fun by adding some extra factor to it.

Last week my friend dragged me to meet her friend Mahlaqqa who is not only a fitness trainer but also owns a fitness gym by the name of Aimfit in Lahore and Islamabad. My friend told her about my lack of interest in fitness and Mahlaqqa offered me to attend one of her fitness classes just on trial basis. She insisted that fitness cannot be dull and can be fun. So on their much persuasion, I decided to give it a try and attended their Dance Fit class.

Combo Fit is designed for beginners and those who have been out of touch with exercising for a while. The instructors break down the technique for all the exercises and keep a close eye on the posture to avoid injury. Throughout the class, your instructor will give you more difficult options for each exercise so that when you are ready you can take your workout to the next level

Dance Fit is the best alternative to cardio training at a regular gymnasium. It is a 60-minute routine with various dance moves that ensures that I had not only fun but also my heart rate is in the cardio zone, burning the calories at a high pace. The coolest part of the routine is the enthusiast choreographers that made the entire session fun, cool and energetic.

Noticing my interest in the fun session, the instructor also introduced me to their different programmes that they offer. It was surprising to know that they are offering so much to the table that one can select from. Combo Fit is designed for beginners and those who have been out of touch with exercising for a while. And then, how can Aimfit forget yoga classes? Aimfit’s Yoga Flow is the perfect addition to your cardio and strength workouts. The class is a mixture of Tai chi, yoga and pilates and is designed so you can stretch and strengthen all the major muscles in your body. It is ideal for those who experience muscle or joint pain after a cardio workout.

One of their most difficult programmes that makes me worried is the Lift. The class is conducted with a barbell and weight plates to ensure that everyone chooses the weight that they are comfortable with and challenged by. In one hour, all the major muscles in the body, including quadriceps, hamstrings, gluteals, calf, abdominals, obliques, chest, biceps, triceps, shoulders and back are worked, with a total of 800-1,000 repetitions.

The above mentioned programmes are very easy on pocket too. I was surprised to know that their three-month routine which is 48 class pass is very cheap. So only for a trial basis you can have not only have a fitness routine but can also have fun.
