KARACHI: The dollar closed flat against the rupee on the interbank market, dealers said. It started the day’s trading at Rs 104.40 for buying, with no variation in value closed at Rs 104.40 for buying and Rs 104.60 for selling in interbank. The euro witnessed some downward trend against rupee as it started day’s trading at Rs 111.65 for buying, closed at Rs 111.10 for buying and closed at Rs 111.30 for selling after shedding 55 paisas. The pound sterling remained down against local currency as it initiated the day’s trading at Rs 128.77 for buying and closed at Rs 128.17 for buying and Rs 128.37 for selling after losing 60 paisas.
Open market: The dollar remained negative against the rupee, dealers said. It started the day’s trading at Rs 108.30 for buying and closed at Rs 108.10 for buying after 20 paisas variation in value and stood at Rs 108.50 for selling. The euro remained negative versus the rupee as it started the day’s trading at Rs 114.75 for buying, with 75 paisas change in value as it closed at Rs 114 for buying and at Rs 114.20 for selling. The pound remained minus against the rupee as it started the day’s trading at Rs 132.50 for buying, closed after 90 paisas downward change for buying and closed at Rs 132.70 for selling.
