ISLAMABAD: The Senate Standing Committee on Defence Production, under its Chairman Lt Gen Abdul Qayyum (Retd), visited Joint Staff Headquarters, Rawalpindi on Thursday. The committee was briefed on the global, regional and domestic security calculus. Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Zubair Mahmood Hayat was also present during the briefing, an ISPR spokesman said.
Sources said that the committee was told about the various defense production projects in the Pakistani defense production industry and cooperation with various countries in this regard as well.
The Senate defense production committee hailed the exemplary coordination among the three services and said that the defense of the country was strong enough to defeat any aggression and challenge.
